Call Name: Majesty
Show Name: Untamed Prophecy
Breed: Purebred Quarter Horse
Age: 6 years
Sex: Mare
Style: English and Western. She is specifically trained for show jumping but can compete in all english events as well as barrel racing and team penning western-wise.
Appearance: Possessing a pelt as black as the midnight sky, Majesty's appearance certainly matches her "dark" temperment. Her plush, luxurious fur is jet black without so much as a hint to another hue. The only other coloration that is viewable is a fairly sized, oddly shaped star that lays neatly on her forehead. Majesty's hooves sport a dark grey hue that stand nicely with her black pelt. Her mane and tail are both long, untangled and ebon in color. When this mare moves, her flowing hair strays behind her, giving off a very attractive scene to anyone who dares to observe. Each movement this horse produces is supple, majestic and graceful. She is extremely sure-footed and is quick to move in certain situations.
Temperment: Don't let Majesty's stunning appearance fool you. Because of her troubled past, this horse doesn't trust anyone easily. Only those who work with her constantly are given such a privelage. And one can't just "work" with her. They have to really show a passion towards gaining this mare's affection. Using brute force when handling Majesty is asking for trouble. The fire in her fighting soul won't let any human rise above her. If she is to work alongside a human, the pair must be equal. Any little thing can set this mare off. She doesn't take to other horses and therefore is more of a "loner", with a few exceptions of course. Other horses must work equally hard to gain her trust, as she sees other horses just as low as humans. Only certain people can ride Majesty as she doesn't let just anyone crawl onto her back and tell her what to do and how to do it. If you are one to share a special bond with this horse, you should feel privelaged. Majesty can be a very sweet horse, but only to those who take the time to look into her round, black spheres and understand her pain. Beware of her during breeding season! Majesty easily gets irritated during this sensitive time.
History: Majesty didn't always live the content, relaxed life she now had with Vicky. Her earlier years were especially hard on her. It all started on a small ranch owned by a caring man by the name of Richard Montana. Mr. Montana bred quality show horses for a living and was known throughout the world for his sturdy line of Quarter Horses. Majesty resulted from a carefully planned breeding between two exceptional horses. The result was a beautiful filly who possessed a strong spirit, stunning conformation and strength like you wouldn't believe. Richard easily claimed Majesty as the cream of the crop for that season. All visitors to the stables were immediately attracted to Majesty. One man by the name of Ricardo Rodriguez became a little too attached. So, Ricardo dressed up in his best, most formal outfit and went to Montana's stables. He offered Richard a ridiculous sum of money for the yearling. Richard requested to see the facilites where the filly would be kept. A large grin spread across Ricardo's face. All part of the plan. The sneaky criminal brought Mr. Montana to a friend's stable, which happened to be a very large show barn. Richard agreed and the deal was set. Majety was taken to Ricardo's REAL home and was kept in a makeshift, cramped stall. Everything she was given was of mediocre quality and the treatment she suffered was intense and cruel. She was forced to pull grueling loads that she obviously couldn't handle, was beaten on a regular basis for no reason and was roughly handled with less than poor equipment. Her life went on like this until she was 2 1/2. Luckily for Majesty, Mr. Montana decided to show up for a post-sale home-check. Upon arriving, he immediately saw the worse-than-poor conditions that his poorly treated horse was suffering through. After going through a short court process, the mare was returned to Richard Montana. He tried to re-gain the mare's trust in him, but she was now a dangerous beast who lashed out at anyone who dared to approach her. Richard managed to whip her back into top physical condition. Once Majesty was 3 years of age, she was perfectly healthy again yet not so much happy. She was a devil to handle and couldn't be ridden by anyone. One day, a young woman waltzed into the stables. She was an advanced rider and was looking at several horses that she wanted to buy. But, the only one that reallt attracted her interest was Majesty. Mr. Montana warned her of the mare's fiery temper and troubled past, but Vicky was persistent. She wanted this horse! She finally paid $5,000 for her and, with a horrible struggle, shipped her to the GMEC. For 3 long years, Vicky trained and worked with Majesty, all the while gaining her trust. Majesty is now 6 years old and still possesses that fiery temperment that she has contained her whole life. Despite that, Vicky and her mare have shared a strong bond and are now inseperable. Vicky is the only person who can handle and ride her. Even so, Majesty is willing to work in partnership with Vicky in whatever the pair is doing.
